Description

Work directly with food and ingredient data to identify what makes each ingredient unique and how ingredients relate to one another.
Use AI tools to clarify each ingredient’s identity, functional capacities, synonyms, and scientifically backed descriptive details.
Maintain accurate and consistent data by catching and correcting errors.
Pick up review requests from a queue and resolve them or escalate them for next steps.
Contribute to the foundation of the company’s food data platform through precise ingredient analysis.

Requirements

Formal background in nutrition or food science, including an AA, bachelor's, advanced degree, or technical training.
Strong understanding of ingredients and food chemistry, including how ingredients behave.
Detail-first, highly accurate approach with comfort reading Nutrition Facts panels and ingredient lists.
Confidence with numbers and data entry, and strong ability to spot mistakes.
Excellent time management and ability to set and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Available for a contract, part-time role with guaranteed weekly hours of 10 hrs/week for 4 weeks.
Able to start August 20, 2026, with training on or before Aug. 17 and execution on or before Aug. 20.
Comfortable completing a hands-on skills exercise as part of the application process.
