Description

  • Support a group of up to 100 Student Advocates by running two monthly calls and maintaining regular contact on Slack.
  • Communicate ideas between the FT and Student Advocates and work with the Schools team to put those ideas into action.
  • Capture feedback from Student Advocates on ongoing projects and use it to help shape programme development.
  • Keep teachers updated on students’ progress through monthly emails and respond to queries.
  • Track student engagement by monitoring attendance, updating records, and following up to ensure active participation.
  • Help motivate Student Advocates and encourage them to share ideas that boost FT visibility in schools.
  • Contribute to making the FT more relevant and accessible to young people.

Requirements

  • Be a current undergraduate or postgraduate university student.
  • Be located in Singapore or Hong Kong.
  • Be available for a part-time commitment of around 12 hours per month for a six-month contract starting in September 2026.
  • Have high levels of motivation and initiative.
  • Have a keen interest in news and current affairs.
  • Be comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
  • Have strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Have experience mentoring young people or working with diverse groups.
  • Have familiarity with the FT or FT Schools, which is desirable.
  • Be able to work remotely from home or university.
