Description

  • Serve as the collaborating physician for Nurse Practitioners under state-specific collaboration agreements.
  • Conduct required chart reviews to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide clinical guidance and consultation to Nurse Practitioners as needed.
  • Participate in periodic meetings with clinical leadership.
  • Review documentation and maintain accurate records within the EHR.
  • Escalate clinical or compliance concerns when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, telehealth regulations, and state collaborative practice laws.

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Active, unrestricted medical license.
  • Active DEA registration.
  • Active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Board certification in an applicable specialty.
  • Active malpractice insurance.
  • Knowledge of Nurse Practitioner collaborative practice regulations.
  • Reliable internet connection for remote collaboration.
  • Ability to provide timely consultation and physician oversight.
  • 1099 independent contractor status.
  • Experience or familiarity with remote/telehealth collaboration is preferred.
