Description

  • Conduct 1:1 coaching meetings and hold regular office hours for learners throughout the program.
  • Provide professional development coaching and career guidance to support learner success.
  • Share weekly asynchronous updates and participate in bi-weekly pod meetings with the program team.
  • Track learner engagement, coaching notes, and job search progress across the cohort.
  • Update each learner’s job search status on a monthly basis.
  • Respond to Slack and email communication within 24 hours.
  • Review resumes and LinkedIn profiles using standardized rubrics at multiple points during the program.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and program operations staff to refine learner engagement and career readiness strategies.
  • Support learners in preparing for data center technician and operations roles and navigating Japan’s job market.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in career development, coaching, professional counseling, or related program management for job seekers.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese.
  • Experience building trusting relationships and giving effective guidance to adult learners and/or job seekers.
  • Experience delivering career coaching in a fully remote format.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work across multiple stakeholders in a coordinated program environment.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly.
  • High technical proficiency and comfort adapting to new tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and Slack.
  • Located in Japan, preferred.
