Description

  • Advise prospective medical school applicants on profile development and application materials.
  • Guide students and families on school selection, essays, resumes, recommendation letters, interviews, and admissions strategy.
  • Identify medical programs aligned with each student’s background and career goals.
  • Help students research universities, programs, admissions requirements, and relevant resources.
  • Manage application timelines, project plans, and progress tracking using internal tools.
  • Maintain current knowledge of medical school admissions criteria and program requirements.
  • Manage applicant relationships and provide ongoing strategic and tactical guidance.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a residency program as an MD or DO.
  • Graduated from a U.S. medical school.
  • Previous medical school admissions committee experience, including application review and admissions decisions.
  • Experience in education, coaching, tutoring, or student mentoring.
  • Passion for mentoring and coaching pre-med students.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Expertise in applicant tracking and progress management.
  • Strong English reading, writing, and editing skills, especially for essays and personal statements.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
