Description

  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, ML engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Build, document, and maintain robust data pipelines using tools such as dbt, Dagster, Snowflake, Estuary, and Airbyte.
  • Develop and support deployment and release processes through software integration for DevOps and CI/CD workflows.
  • Design, build, and operate AWS-based data infrastructure with a focus on scale, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Create frameworks and internal self-service tooling to help the data team deliver value faster.
  • Develop and maintain data models that support understanding of key business performance across global entities.
  • Support data modeling efforts across all global entities as the company scales its marketplace data environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer or data engineer in a fast-paced, technical, problem-solving environment.
  • Proficiency in cloud data warehouse best practices, optimization, and usage, especially Snowflake.
  • Strong experience with ETL, data modeling, version control, dbt, and GitHub preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the AWS data ecosystem.
  • Experience with data extraction tools such as Estuary and Airbyte.
  • Experience programming in Python or JavaScript.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, with Looker preferred.
  • Familiarity with data streaming technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools.
  • Ability to work core aligned hours to US Eastern Time / GMT-5.
  • Ability to work quickly in a fast-paced environment and shift gears as needed.
