Description

  • Process medical records requests, including patient authorization forms, medical file retrieval, and provider letters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with providers, patients, and internal teams to support medical records management.
  • Assist members with Mental Health Leaves & Accommodations (MHLA) requests and coordinate with providers and third parties as needed.
  • Provide weekly metrics on new, in-progress, and completed medical records requests.
  • Respond to emails and support inbound and outbound phone calls as part of daily operations.
  • Assist with patient support tickets and maintain assigned medical records ticket workflow.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and protect the confidentiality of patient PHI.
  • Monitor incoming requests and report any suspicious release of medical records requests.
  • Complete assigned medical records requests within 24-48 hours of receipt.
  • Support occasional shift adjustments, including 1 weekend per month and at least 4 holidays per year.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Advanced understanding of medical terminology and HIPAA.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and MS Office.
  • Comfortable working in rapidly changing environments with evolving responsibilities.
  • Tech-savvy and able to adopt new technologies and platforms quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and context switch.
  • Willingness to work any of the listed shifts: 8:00 AM-4:00 PM EST, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM EST, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM EST, or 12:00 PM-8:00 PM EST.

  • Target base salary range of $25.13 - $29.49 per hour.
