Description

  • Build and maintain crash-resistant, idempotent data pipelines.
  • Develop production data transformations and change data capture processes using Scala.
  • Manage data lifecycles across the AWS ecosystem, including Glue, DMS, Redshift, and S3.
  • Optimize Spark jobs using partitioning, Parquet, and broadcast joins.
  • Support CI/CD operations with Bash.
  • Collaborate with an experienced team on challenging long-term products.
  • Contribute to reliable and performant data engineering solutions.
  • Apply strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving to data tasks.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Deep expertise with the AWS stack, including Glue, DMS, Redshift, and S3.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Scala, and Bash.
  • Experience building data pipelines and working across the broader AWS ecosystem, not only as a database administrator.
  • Understanding of how to design crash-resistant, idempotent pipelines and optimize Spark jobs.
  • Excellent written and spoken English at C1+ level.
  • Attention to detail, creative problem-solving ability, and passion for data.
  • Experience with production data transformation and CDC using Scala (required by client context).
  • Experience with CI/CD operations using Bash (required by client context).
