Description

  • Lead, mentor, and support the data engineering team by setting goals, assigning work, and managing resources.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical data engineering issues.
  • Provide technical direction on tools, technologies, methodologies, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, project scope, and plans.
  • Support project managers in meeting delivery timelines, budgets, and quality standards while managing risks.
  • Act as a trusted customer advisor and primary contact for project contributors and partner teams.
  • Oversee data solution architecture, including data modeling, database design, and data integration.
  • Establish coding standards, conduct code reviews, and implement quality assurance processes.
  • Optimize data processing and storage for performance, efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Scala.
  • Experience with Azure and implementing cloud-based data solutions.
  • Expertise with ETL frameworks, data pipelines, and data warehousing technologies.
  • Proven experience leading and managing data engineering teams.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, data integration, and data management practices.
  • Strong project management, prioritization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional stakeholders and senior management.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with data engineering technologies and trends.
