Description

  • Commit to a consistent weekly availability block of 40 hours through the end of October 2026.
  • Conduct structured 60-minute technical interviews across back-end, full-stack, front-end, and system design domains.
  • Accept and conduct interview assignments, including short-notice requests.
  • Write thorough evaluations of candidates’ coding approach, technical knowledge, and communication skills.
  • Maintain Karat’s standards for structured, inclusive, bias-mitigated interviewing throughout the engagement.

Requirements

  • Must be currently located in Australia.
  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Experience conducting technical interviews through a formal employer program or independently.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Reliable home setup with stable internet, a working webcam, and a microphone.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent weekly availability block for the full contract term.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Independent contractor status.
  • Experience in back-end, full-stack, front-end, or system design interviewing is relevant.
  • Opt-in opportunity to join Karat’s standard Interview Engineer program after the contract ends.
