Description

  • Design gameplay, narrative, and mechanical elements to create a complete game experience.
  • Create engaging and innovative gameplay experiences that push design boundaries.
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of gameplay components using Blueprint scripting, Sequencer, and other Unreal Engine systems.
  • Collaborate closely with design leaders to develop and refine gameplay experiences.
  • Identify and solve design and technical issues proactively.
  • Develop functional prototypes to support gameplay ideas and features.
  • Write design documentation and follow established design guidelines.
  • Balance design ambition with production constraints and deadlines.
  • Interpret feedback from stakeholders and iterate on designs accordingly.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of game design experience in the industry.
  • Experience in a design or technical design role working with Unreal Engine 5.
  • At least 2 years of experience with visual scripting languages, especially UE Blueprints.
  • Proven ability to create functional prototypes.
  • Strong communication skills for presenting ideas to stakeholders and teammates.
  • Ability to write design documentation and follow design guidelines.
  • Ability to balance ambitious design goals with production constraints and deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret constructive feedback and develop solutions to problem areas.
  • Experience working effectively in a team environment.
  • B2-level English proficiency, both conversational and written.
  • Bonus: player or design experience with strategy games.
  • Must be located in Europe and able to work remotely in EU/UK time zones.
