Description

  • Manage development of the Wowhead Studio application for datamining creatures, characters, and other in-game objects.
  • Extract game data and assets needed to build and support Wowhead tools and services.
  • Maintain Wowhead’s WebGL model viewers, including the TypeScript-based standard viewer.
  • Develop and maintain the C++ WebAssembly viewer for World of Warcraft Player Housing pages.
  • Use and maintain the JavaScript-based Three.js model viewer.
  • Document game data contents, formats, change history, datamining tools, and related processes.
  • Communicate task progress, blockers, and role-related issues clearly and promptly.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience datamining World of Warcraft and/or Diablo IV.
  • Proficiency with programming languages including C++, Python, C#, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with debugging, reverse engineering, and custom tools.
  • Ability to read and understand x86/x64 assembly language using tools such as IDA.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely with stakeholders across multiple time zones.
  • Professionalism, reliability, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Blizzard games is preferred.
