Description

  • Audit 13 existing online courses for structure, pacing, engagement, assessments, accessibility, and learner experience.
  • Deliver prioritized course findings and practical recommendations, including update-versus-rebuild recommendations and effort estimates.
  • Identify outdated content, inconsistencies, and gaps against current CrossFit methodology and brand standards.
  • Update or rebuild Rise 360 courses based on approved recommendations.
  • Design interactions, scenarios, knowledge checks, and assessments tied to real coaching practice.
  • Integrate video, graphics, and other media, and identify new asset requirements.
  • Test published courses in the learning management system for tracking, completion, and credit reporting.
  • Advise on delivery strategy for new course content, including sequencing, interactivity, media, and assessments.
  • Build courses for accessibility, mobile and desktop performance, and localization readiness.
  • Collaborate with the EDU Content team, manage timelines across projects, and refine reusable templates and course standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of instructional design experience.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on Articulate Rise 360 experience within the past 3 years.
  • Advanced Articulate Rise 360 skills, including blocks, interactions, quizzes, and Storyline blocks.
  • Portfolio of live Rise 360 builds submitted with the application.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models, such as ADDIE, SAM, Merrill’s Principles of Instruction, and Bloom’s taxonomy.
  • Experience auditing and redesigning existing courses as well as building new courses.
  • Strong assessment-design skills, including scenario-based questions and application-focused knowledge checks.
  • Working knowledge of accessibility standards, SCORM publishing, and learning management systems.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects in a remote, part-time contract setting.
  • Experience with fitness, coaching, certification-based education, Articulate Storyline 360, video editing, or localization workflows is preferred; CrossFit Level 1 Certificate is a plus.
