Description

  • Lead the accounting and finance function for a US-based technology consulting firm with international operations.
  • Own the monthly and annual financial close process.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee accounting operations including banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, invoicing, treasury, and cash management.
  • Manage multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, regulatory, and statutory reporting requirements in coordination with the company’s CPA.
  • Lead external audits and coordinate with auditors and external advisors.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
  • Lead accounting system implementations, automation initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Partner with the CEO and leadership team to provide financial analysis, identify risks, and support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior accounting manager, controller, assistant controller, or similar roles.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or equivalent professional accounting designation is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with US-based companies in technology, IT consulting, professional services, or SaaS industries.
  • Proven ownership of month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.
  • Experience managing external audits and working with auditors.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance.
  • Experience with multi-entity accounting and intercompany transactions.
  • Experience with cloud-based ERP systems, with QuickBooks Online required and Xero preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote, international environment.
