Description

  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine, researching and resolving variances within 30 days.
  • Accurately reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions.
  • Prepare monthly payroll accruals and actual payroll expense load files for the GL accounting team.
  • Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to internal payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support year-end reconciliations, compliance reviews, and internal audit initiatives as needed.
  • Respond to cross-functional requests, provide clear payroll reporting, and maintain payroll documentation to support scale.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll accounting with exposure to payroll operations and general ledger accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or BlackLine or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms.
  • Solid understanding of payroll compliance, including US federal and state requirements.
  • Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus; experience processing payroll for multiple legal entities preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • CPA or CPP designation is a plus.
  • Meticulous attention to accuracy and ownership of detail-oriented tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to respond to cross-functional requests quickly and professionally.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly and contribute from day one; located in Eastern or Central time zones (remote role).
