Description

Run payroll end-to-end on weekly and bi-weekly schedules.
Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks.
Administer employee payment statements electronically or on paper.
Process payroll taxes and employee benefit payments.
Maintain records for hourly rates, wages, compensation, benefits, and new hire information.
Address payroll questions and issues from employees and managers.
Prepare payroll reports for upper management and the finance department.
Stay current on updated federal and provincial taxation regulations.
Help train new payroll managers, payroll administrative assistants, and HR resources.

Requirements

Experience with updated federal and provincial taxation regulations.
Ability to run payroll end-to-end on weekly and bi-weekly cycles.
Experience supporting payroll training or onboarding for new team members and HR resources.
Ability to prepare pay orders and manage employee payment administration electronically or manually.
Experience tracking payroll data such as hour rates, wages, compensation, benefits, and new hire information.
Ability to respond to payroll-related employee and management inquiries.
Experience preparing reports for leadership and finance stakeholders.
Contractor/freelance availability for a remote role in the Canadian market.
