Description

  • Design full-course curricula for high school STEM subjects, including scope and sequence, unit plans, and daily lesson plans.
  • Develop student-facing lessons, problem sets, labs, projects, homework, and formative and summative assessments.
  • Ensure instructional materials align to New York State standards and Zeta’s academic vision and outcomes.
  • Embed inquiry-based learning, conceptual understanding, analytical thinking, and problem-solving into curriculum materials.
  • Design assessments that measure both content mastery and application of skills.
  • Collaborate with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and other curriculum writers to maintain coherence across courses and grade levels.
  • Use educator feedback and student performance data to revise and improve curriculum materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience developing rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum.
  • Proven record of creating curriculum that drives strong student outcomes.
  • Experience with high school STEM subjects such as Robotics or AP Computer Science A.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with academic leaders, instructional coaches, and other curriculum writers.
  • Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
  • Willingness to work as a 1099 independent contractor on a 12-month project-based consulting engagement.
  • Ability to collaborate remotely or in-person based on project needs.

Benefits

  • Compensation of $15,000 to $25,000 per project unit, depending on experience and project scope.
  • Flexible work schedule with deadlines and deliverables agreed upon with the project lead.

  • 12-month project-based consulting engagement with an immediate start date.
