Description

  • Translate patent-related content from English into French while preserving the original meaning and ensuring clarity for the target audience.
  • Proofread and review patent translations for quality, style adequacy, and consistency.
  • Follow client instructions and workflow requirements, including translation process guidelines and CAT tool usage.
  • Communicate effectively in English and respond promptly to project needs.
  • Handle translation-related tasks such as copy editing, MTPE, QC, and LQA as needed.
  • Work on patent content across technical domains including electricity, computer science, mechanics, and chemistry.

Requirements

  • Native-level fluency in French.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience translating and reviewing content in patent fields.
  • Experience translating patents in electricity, computer science, and/or mechanics is strongly preferred.
  • Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to translate, copy edit, perform MTPE, QC, and LQA.
  • Immediate availability for patent translation projects.
  • Ability to work remotely from Europe or Canada.
  • Experience using CAT tools, specifically XTM, is required or strongly preferred.
