Description

Translate and copy edit content in investigator-facing, patient-facing, pharmacy, marketing, help, and UI materials.
Collaborate as part of a freelance language expert team across multiple accounts and programs.
Apply linguistic and cultural expertise to ensure accurate Afrikaans localization for the target audience.
Work within translation and localization workflows using CAT tools and project platforms.
Review and adapt content for quality, consistency, and usability across source materials.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience translating or copy editing content in relevant subject matter areas or verticals.
Professional-level understanding of English (US/GB).
Native-level Afrikaans expertise as the target language with a strong understanding of cultural nuances.
Experience using CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling.
Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS Word and MS Excel.
Translation degree preferred, or 3 years of translation experience with another degree, or 5 years of translation experience without a degree.
Experience with marketing and life sciences content is required.
Ability to work remotely as a freelance language expert.
Experience supporting multiple accounts or programs is desirable.
