Description

  • Schedule medical appointments, tests, and procedures by coordinating patients, providers, locations, and payers.
  • Answer and initiate calls with patients, providers, and outside medical offices using established scheduling protocols.
  • Use EHR scheduling software to accurately book appointments and procedures.
  • Direct calls to appropriate parties and take and distribute messages.
  • Collect and update patient demographic, contact, and insurance information.
  • Manage electronic scheduling requests through drop boxes and patient portals.
  • Distribute faxes and help manage related requests.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and model organizational values and Just Culture principles.

Requirements

  • Two years of administrative or similar experience (preferred).
  • Previous medical office experience (preferred).
  • Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements (preferred).
  • Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations (preferred).
  • Ability to live and work primarily in an approved state for remote roles, if applicable.

  • Hourly pay of $19.69–$23.21 in Colorado, adjusted based on geographic location.
