Description

  • Manage, coach, and mentor 4 software engineers, including performance feedback and career development.
  • Establish and improve engineering and operational processes to increase delivery effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Partner with engineering leadership on department strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive engineering-wide initiatives such as hiring, career development, policies, and budgets.
  • Sponsor engineering-wide guilds, projects, and activities.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Product Design, Marketing, and other functions on cross-team initiatives.
  • Lead the development and delivery of pod projects and operations.
  • Help identify and remove team-wide and department-wide inefficiencies.
  • Uphold Teachable values while building and growing within a diverse team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 1-2+ years of technical leadership or people management.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering high-quality projects on time.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives with impact across multiple teams or domains.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and make progress with minimal guidance.
  • Relentless drive for continuous improvement and ownership.
  • Experience mentoring individual contributors across different seniority levels and specializations.
  • Experience recruiting, hiring, and leading diverse engineering teams.
  • Contract is CLT and paid in BRL.
  • Preferred: familiarity with engineering department strategy, operations, and cross-functional leadership.
  • Preferred: experience working in a remote-first, cross-cultural environment.
