Description

  • Manage, grow, and support a team of experienced engineers building applications, tools, and infrastructure for security products.
  • Work with engineers, scientists, stakeholders, and domain experts to design and execute solutions for fraud and automation detection.
  • Mentor and guide engineers to strengthen their skills, judgment, and decision-making.
  • Participate in code and architecture design for team projects.
  • Contribute to feature development for detection and mitigation capabilities.
  • Maintain high quality standards through peer reviews and mentorship.
  • Help improve user risk analysis and mitigation systems.
  • Continuously iterate on cutting-edge features that advance the team’s detection capabilities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.
  • Extensive experience with TypeScript or Python.
  • Familiarity with other languages such as Rust, Go, or C++.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and scaled operations.
  • Experience building applications that scale to millions of requests per second.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Demonstrated leadership in building a high-performing, highly engaged engineering team, preferably in geo-distributed organizations.
  • Experience with edge workers such as Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Edge Compute, or Akamai Serverless Compute (preferred).
  • Production-level application experience with Rust or Golang (preferred).
