Description

  • Manage the dental hygiene schedule to maximize appointment availability and productivity.
  • Make high-volume outbound recall calls to patients due or overdue for hygiene visits.
  • Schedule, confirm, and follow up on hygiene appointments and reappointments.
  • Proactively fill open hygiene appointments and follow up with patients who do not schedule initially.
  • Communicate professionally with English- and Spanish-speaking patients.
  • Document patient interactions and scheduling activity accurately in the practice management system.
  • Provide a positive patient experience during every interaction.
  • Collaborate with the dental team to support hygiene department goals.
  • Provide occasional after-hours coverage within the 40-hour weekly schedule.

Requirements

  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency is required.
  • Previous dental office experience, preferably in scheduling, hygiene coordination, patient care, or front-office work.
  • Strong experience with dental appointment scheduling and patient follow-up.
  • Comfort making frequent outbound calls and managing high-volume patient interactions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone presence.
  • Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Open Dental experience is required or highly preferred due to an upcoming system transition.
  • Eaglesoft experience is strongly preferred; RevenueWell and Weave experience are a plus.
  • Experience coordinating dental hygiene recalls and reappointments is highly desirable.

Benefits

  • Full-time contractor position with a 40-hour workweek.
  • Negotiable pay based on skills and experience.
  • Monday–Friday schedule, 9 AM–5 PM EST.
  • Remote work environment.
