Description

  • Develop and execute audience acquisition plans for assigned events.
  • Build targeted invitation lists and define audience criteria based on event briefs.
  • Align audience recruitment with editorial priorities, event objectives, and partner commitments.
  • Create invitation copy, registration messaging, reminders, and attendee communications.
  • Manage invitation distribution, personalized outreach, follow-ups, and acquisition performance.
  • Maintain event website content, registration pages, RSVP workflows, and attendee-facing materials.
  • Track registrations, capacity, attendance projections, audience composition, cancellations, and waitlists.
  • Identify audience gaps and recruit additional participants to meet attendance and composition targets.
  • Prepare audience reporting, final attendee lists, event briefings, and on-site handoff materials.
  • Support on-site attendee management and post-event reporting in partnership with Editorial, Events, Design, Partnerships, and Audience Development teams.

Requirements

  • Experience in audience development, event marketing, or attendee acquisition for high-profile business events.
  • Experience managing event audience development from initial planning through execution.
  • Strong judgment in curating senior executive and business audiences.
  • Strong copywriting experience for professional event invitations and communications.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, event registration platforms, spreadsheets, and website content management tools.
  • Ability to manage registration pipelines, venue capacity targets, and multiple simultaneous deadlines.
  • Highly organized, resourceful, and comfortable owning work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with editorial, commercial, marketing, and event operations teams.
  • Ability to work from New York, NY or Washington, D.C., or remotely outside those regions.

Benefits

  • Flat weekly compensation rate of $1,800.
  • Remote work considered for candidates outside New York, NY and Washington, D.C.
