Description

  • Review contracts to interpret billing terms, payment schedules, and invoicing requirements.
  • Create and send accurate invoices, including ancillary time-and-materials and hardware or software resale charges.
  • Manage billing schedules and monitor payments against contractual terms.
  • Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain current billing records, including invoices, payments, and changes to billing terms or schedules.
  • Assist with financial reporting, billing analyses, and revenue recognition activities.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time timesheets and required documentation.
  • Maintain billing processes and standards through change management procedures.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior resources or appropriate teams.
  • Maintain knowledge of the company’s products and services and incorporate it into client support.

Requirements

  • Understanding of contract terms, pricing, payment schedules, and billing terminology.
  • Strong numerical and basic mathematical skills for calculations, reconciliations, and financial data management.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex contractual terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency with billing software and systems; familiarity with accounting platforms is advantageous.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, including identifying root causes and proposing preventive solutions.
  • Strong customer service skills, empathy, professionalism, and client-focus.
