Description

  • Review bank reconciliations and complete month-end bank reconciliations for corporate and pop-up property entities.
  • Own month-end close activities and review revenue reconciliations.
  • Invoice properties for payroll and operating expense reimbursements.
  • Prepare payroll entries in QuickBooks and confirm payroll allocations are correct for each property.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting for the organization.
  • Perform initial quality control reviews.
  • Review the general ledger for accruals and coordinate with other departments to calculate accruals.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including year-over-year rollforwards.
  • Oversee real estate filings and prepare lender reports and final packages.
  • Support annual budgeting, bonus and commission calculations, the annual audit, tax process, and T-6 budgets.
  • Conduct monthly P&L calls with operations and property teams.
  • Develop SOPs for Finance, Accounting, & Analytics processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of related accounting experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks and other current ERP accounting applications.
  • Knowledge of US GAAP principles and experience with financial statement preparation and accounting guidelines.
  • Familiarity with federal and state tax regulations.
  • Real estate or hospitality experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in teams.
  • Experience handling highly sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to take on challenges.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Must be legally authorized to work as a contractor and/or employee in the country where located.
  • Must be 18 years or older to be considered for employment.
