Description

Lead and manage data migration projects from planning through execution.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies for migration work.
Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, IT teams, and stakeholders to define data requirements and migration scope.
Oversee data validation, cleansing, and testing to ensure post-migration data integrity and accuracy.
Coordinate resources and manage dependencies to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data governance policies throughout the migration process.
Provide regular status updates, reports, and documentation to senior management and stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data migration methods and best practices.

Requirements

5+ years of project management experience focused on data migration projects in financial services.
Strong knowledge of data migration tools, techniques, and best practices.
Understanding of financial systems, regulatory requirements, and data governance principles.
Experience managing cross-functional teams with both technical and business stakeholders.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
Proficiency with JIRA, MS Project, Confluence, or similar collaboration tools.
Relevant certifications such as PMP, Prince2, or Agile certifications are advantageous.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Benefits

Experience within a PMO structure is preferred.
Strong PowerPoint and deck creation skills are valued.
The role is highly client-facing and involves engagement with senior stakeholders.
Ability to drive conversations and manage expectations is important.
8-10+ years of experience is advantageous.
