Description

  • Design, document, and implement comprehensive test cases, test descriptions, and test plans for backend services.
  • Build and maintain automated test frameworks for data and analytics products.
  • Perform functional, regression, and high-volume daily testing of product changes.
  • Proactively identify potential defects, isolate existing bugs, and research issues affecting large datasets.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product Management, Project, and QA teams to ensure quality from concept through release.
  • Maintain technical quality assurance throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Develop an understanding of options-related mathematical concepts to support testing.

Requirements

  • Experience testing backend services and large datasets.
  • Strong test-case design, test documentation, analytical, problem-solving, and creative-thinking abilities.
  • Knowledge of Java, SQL, and Python.
  • Ability to implement automated tests and perform functional and regression testing.
  • Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively in a fully remote, distributed team operating on Eastern Time hours.
  • Commitment to quality assurance and ownership of day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent practical experience in software testing, quality assurance, or backend test automation is accepted.
  • Experience with AWS data tools, including S3, Redshift, RDS, and EMR, is preferred.
