Description

  • Develop verification plans and test approaches based on satellite functional requirements.
  • Design and build automated test systems, tooling, and ground support equipment to improve test and production workflows.
  • Develop, execute, and maintain test procedures and automated scripts for Flatsat, HWIL, and SWIL environments.
  • Write TCL-based automated test scripts for the TERMA CCS5 command-and-control system.
  • Lead portions of the verification program and serve as Test Conductor for formal validation events.
  • Conduct test dry runs and readiness activities.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, analyze test data, and produce test reports, non-conformance records, and closure documentation.
  • Coordinate cross-functional integration and test execution across engineering disciplines.
  • Support system architecture trade studies, requirements development, and updates to satellite functional specifications.
  • Create system architecture artifacts, including spacecraft CONOPS, algorithm descriptions, and interface documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or a related scientific field; master's degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience with a bachelor's degree or 1 year with a master's degree.
  • Experience supporting aerospace hardware or software development through design, integration, verification, or test phases.
  • Experience with test automation or scripting using TCL, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience with command-and-control environments such as TERMA CCS5 preferred.
  • Proficiency in systems engineering and integration and test processes, including requirements traceability, verification planning, and test documentation.
  • Experience with Flatsats, HWIL/SWIL systems, simulators, or similar integration environments.
  • Familiarity with testability, environmental test planning, integration troubleshooting, anomaly investigation, and root-cause analysis.
  • Experience leading aerospace verification and validation activities, developing verification matrices or test plans, or participating in readiness reviews preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
