Description

  • Write performant, maintainable, well-documented code for web applications.
  • Write automated tests to validate code correctness.
  • Deploy large-scale web applications and support them through operations.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and own code end-to-end from development to deployment to operations.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering on feature development and interface execution.
  • Work independently in a fast-moving team while also contributing effectively in team settings.
  • Iterate on quality and improve products through incremental development.
  • Help shape user-facing experiences such as class discovery, accessibility, performance, and real-time AI classroom features.

Requirements

  • Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Experience with a core object-oriented programming language such as Java, C++, or C#.
  • Familiarity with backend services and technologies.
  • Experience with deployment systems such as GitHub Actions or AWS CodeDeploy.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as RDS, Lambda, and EC2.
  • Familiarity with Linux and command-line tools.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies as needed.
  • Experience building websites with thousands of daily visitors.
  • Experience improving SEO performance.
  • Experience with AI-native productivity tools such as Cursor, Make, Supabase, Netlify, Claude Code, n8n, Firecrawl, ChatGPT, Grok, Bolt, Vercel, or similar tools.
  • Computer Science or related degree preferred.
  • Fluent in English.
