Description

  • Review loan packages, underwriting guidelines, and data files to determine required documentation.
  • Capture required loan information and bookmark relevant supporting pages.
  • Audit loans for salability and review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Identify, document, and track discrepancies, missing documentation, and data errors.
  • Enter fees and data from LEs, CDs, and COCs into the system of record and run compliance analyses.
  • Record exceptions and resolve validation issues related to documentation, data, and fee errors.
  • Research and respond to rebuttals and responses to compliance findings.
  • Apply system logic, manage resulting exceptions, and complete accurate loan reviews.
  • Communicate with internal teams to meet expectations and timelines, escalating issues as needed.
  • Track time spent on each review accurately.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge and experience with the LauraMac Due Diligence software system.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Quality Control, Due Diligence, or Secondary Market functions.
  • Fraud investigative review experience within banking or lending is preferred.
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending principles, compliance regulations, and required documentation.
  • Ability to meet production, quality, and service standards.
  • High technical aptitude and familiarity with Slack, Zoom, GSuite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical ability, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Organized approach to reviewing complex loan files and investigating potential compliance violations.
  • Availability to work remotely from within the United States.
