Description

  • Assess and determine building development and concurrence agency applications.
  • Provide building certification services in accordance with Queensland legislation, council policies, and the National Construction Code.
  • Process building compliance documentation and issue final completion certificates.
  • Respond to Customer Requests requiring technical building advice.
  • Provide specialist technical advice to the public, council units, and other stakeholders.
  • Complete council administration, reporting, and official correspondence.
  • Operate within the scope of a QBCC Level 3 Building Certifier licence without conducting physical on-site stage inspections.

Requirements

  • Current QBCC Level 3 Building Certifier licence or higher.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Queensland Building Act, Queensland Development Code, and National Construction Code.
  • Experience assessing building development and concurrence agency applications.
  • Experience processing building compliance documentation and issuing final completion certificates.
  • Strong council administration, reporting, and official correspondence skills.
  • Ability to provide specialist technical advice to the public, council units, and stakeholders.
  • Prior local government experience is highly advantageous.
  • CV must be uploaded for consideration.
