Description

Support the Store Manager across all business areas as second-in-command and step into manager duties as needed.
Collaborate with the team to exceed daily sales goals and deliver an inclusive customer experience.
Educate customers and staff on brand values, product standards, and ethical business practices.
Build product knowledge and make informed recommendations to meet customer needs.
Monitor metrics, budgets, and reports to help drive profitable sales performance.
Support the team on the sales floor by answering questions, removing obstacles, problem solving, and motivating staff.
Coach and develop staff through feedback, leading by example, and support for performance improvement.
Assist with recruitment, hiring, networking, and succession planning for the shop.
Collaborate on staff engagement, retention, performance, and DEIB-related development plans.
Support operational excellence through policies, stock and inventory management, merchandising, scheduling, and attendance tracking.

Requirements

1-3 years of experience managing or supervising in a retail environment.
Excellent listening and communication skills.
Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills.
Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business.
Ability to work flexible hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends.
Experience with consultation-based customer service models is preferred.
Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback is preferred.
Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Suite, with adaptability to other systems as required.
Basic HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, and performance management are preferred.
Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training is preferred.
Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages is preferred.
