Description

  • Create accurate, time-aligned verbatim transcriptions for subtitles with correct punctuation and capitalization.
  • Annotate subtitles according to detailed client instructions, including handling non-speech elements.
  • Apply subtitling technical requirements such as line breaks, in/out timing, and overlapping speaker segmentation.
  • Research and verify proper nouns, historical dates, and specialized terminology to ensure accuracy.
  • Review work carefully to minimize errors and maintain high quality control standards.
  • Follow evolving client style guides to keep consistency across large-scale projects.
  • Work on localization projects that help adapt content for different audiences and languages.

Requirements

  • Native fluency in Hindi with impeccable grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Experience with subtitling software such as Subtitle Edit, Aegisub, EZTitles, or CaptionHub.
  • Strong attention to detail, including the ability to catch very small timing or punctuation errors.
  • Deep understanding of Hindi language culture, idioms, and social context to ensure meaning-based transcription.
  • Experience creating time-aligned, verbatim transcriptions.
  • Familiarity with subtitling technical requirements, including line breaks, time in/out, and overlapping dialogue handling.
  • Familiarity with annotation requirements, including non-speech elements, and the ability to follow detailed instructions with minimal training.
  • Familiarity with data annotation file formats, specifically DFXP.
  • Ability to perform independent research to verify names, dates, and terminology.
  • Must provide a CV in English; non-English CVs will not be considered.
  • Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement before the recruitment process begins.
