Description

  • Review IXL math video content and recommend adaptations for the UK edition.
  • Ensure spelling, punctuation, grammar, and terminology follow British English conventions.
  • Check content for cultural relevance and avoid US-centric references.
  • Verify adherence to IXL style guide specifications.
  • Assess grade-level appropriateness for UK students.
  • Evaluate pedagogical relevance in line with UK teaching conventions.
  • Maintain overall quality and consistency of UK math content.
  • Respond to questions about British English, UK cultural customs, and the math curriculum.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in a relevant field and prior experience in a related role.
  • Impeccable knowledge of British English linguistic conventions.
  • Strong understanding of UK culture and customs.
  • Familiarity with style manuals and guides, such as The Chicago Manual of Style.
  • Experience as a math teacher in the UK education system at the primary or secondary school level.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK pedagogy and teaching methodologies.
  • Understanding of students’ reading and knowledge levels in primary and secondary school.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage a queue of assignments efficiently and in an organized way.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs and Google Sheets.
  • Experience or background in English education in the UK is a plus.
