Description

  • Review and advise on proposed curriculum to ensure the correct concepts are included.
  • Develop lessons, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, including kit-based virtual labs, for foundational aerospace technician skills.
  • Iterate on curriculum based on feedback from employer subject-matter experts to keep content aligned with current aerospace standards, tooling, and certification pathways.
  • Collaborate with other curriculum developers and peer review lessons, providing feedback for improvements.
  • Review lessons and QA exercises and document changes in QA documentation.
  • Participate in weekly and ad hoc meetings with the content development team to stay aligned on curriculum progress and decisions.
  • Deploy content on the learning platform with provided training.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or related technical environments.
  • Depth of experience in at least one of these areas: Structures, Assembly & Integration, or Composites.
  • Familiarity with technician-level aerospace skills such as blueprint reading, precision measurement tools, drilling/fastening, system assembly, torque application, or composite layup/bonding.
  • Experience working from written work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality specifications in a production or aerospace environment.
  • Experience with aerospace safety and quality standards such as OSHA, 5S, and FOD.
  • 3+ years of experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or technical writing, with bonus consideration for technical or vocational training contexts.
  • Experience teaching, training, or mentoring adult learners in technical subjects.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for beginner learners.
  • Comfort with digital collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work remotely, independently, and self-motivated to succeed.
