Description

  • Serve as a professional and reliable liaison between the project and CSO partner organisations.
  • Support the development and implementation of the project’s capacity-building and external engagement strategy.
  • Use open-source investigation methods such as geolocation, chronolocation, and satellite imagery analysis to collect, verify, and analyse data.
  • Record and maintain sourced information in project databases.
  • Prepare bespoke training materials and carry out pre- and post-training assessments.
  • Lead or support joint open-source research projects with external CSO partners.
  • Provide mentorship to CSOs on open-source investigation, visualisation, digital security, and mitigation of vicarious trauma.
  • Deliver in-person and remote training in Burmese and English on OSINT, data visualisation, digital security, and trauma mitigation.
  • Monitor training effectiveness, document feedback, and contribute to internal reviews and process improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with other trainers and investigators.

Requirements

  • Fluency in Burmese and English at C1 / professional level.
  • Proven track record in OSINT-driven investigations, including geolocation, chronolocation, and social media monitoring.
  • Willingness to travel for in-person capacity building and training, including occasional travel in Southeast Asia.
  • Experience conducting OSINT research on Myanmar and/or Southeast Asia (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrable experience supporting CSOs with digital investigations (highly desirable).
  • Experience delivering OSINT training and mentorship in both in-person and remote formats (highly desirable).
  • Ability to work full-time at 19 days per month.
  • Contractor status for a fixed term from August 2026 to March 2027, subject to funding.
