Description

  • Provide sustainable finance thought leadership, project inputs, and project management support for BCI initiatives in the research division.
  • Conduct primary and secondary research, including quantitative and qualitative analysis, on sustainable finance topics.
  • Produce and publish high-quality research papers in the field of sustainable finance.
  • Generate opportunities for strategic partnerships for BCI.
  • Attend conferences and events to promote BCI, share research findings, and engage with stakeholders.
  • Support the organization’s work on innovative applications of emerging technologies for environmental good.
  • Contribute to research and analysis relevant to sustainable finance in the real estate sector.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of climate risk and disclosure frameworks such as the TCFD Recommendations.
  • Working knowledge of finance across major asset classes, including fixed income, equities, commodities, and derivatives.
  • Working knowledge of sustainable finance standards and products such as ICMA Green Bond Principles, ISO 14030, SASB, GRI, and the EU Taxonomy.
  • Working knowledge of digital data technologies such as IoT, AI, Industry 4.0, analytics, and DLT in the context of sustainable investment.
  • Working knowledge or experience with innovative solutions for the real estate sector.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across professional boundaries.
  • Excellent English writing skills; ability in Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, or Spanish is desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills, presentation skills, and the ability to manage competing demands under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • A relevant degree or training in a relevant discipline, plus experience producing research outputs and structured reports for different audiences.
  • Proven experience in organization/business development, stakeholder relationship building, independent and team-based project delivery, and research planning and facilitation.
  • Experience with digital technologies such as AI and DLT.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Open to candidates across all levels of experience, including inexperienced candidates who can demonstrate the required skills in assessment.
