Description

  • Provide creative expertise in client pitches, work shares, and brainstorms to establish clear vision and direction for assigned deliverables.
  • Design data visualizations, technical diagrams, and conceptual or informational slides within brand guidelines.
  • Lead creative processes and deliverables from concept through final delivery, delegating tasks as needed.
  • Enforce and improve Article Group standards for audience-first visual storytelling in slide and motion design.
  • Design storyboards for animated sequences in line with motion design best practices.
  • Workshop ideas directly with client stakeholders, assess feedback, and communicate clear next steps after client conversations.
  • Escalate project risks and concerns to senior Article Group leadership.
  • Collaborate with designers and animators while representing Article Group to clients and owning creative decisions.
  • Deliver polished, executive-level PowerPoint presentations and iterate rapidly in live client sessions.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of design experience, including at least 3 years in an Associate Creative Director or senior creative leadership role.
  • A portfolio showcasing keynote and large-scale event presentations.
  • Experience leading creative execution in live event environments and solving problems under pressure during production.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Working knowledge of Keynote, Google Slides, and Figma.
  • Experience managing and mentoring designers, motion designers, and other creatives across levels.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience partnering with strategy and account leads.
  • Comfort working in a freelance, project-based contract role with variable hours.
  • Availability for remote work and travel for on-site events and rehearsals.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of After Effects, Media Encoder, and AI tools such as Midjourney, Firefly, Runway, Claude, and Gemini.
