Description

Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite.
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline and research and resolve variances within 30 days.
Accurately reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions.
Prepare monthly payroll accrual and actual payroll expense load files for the general ledger accounting team.
Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities while ensuring timely delivery and compliance with statutory requirements.
Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to internal payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
Support year-end reconciliations, compliance reviews, and internal audit initiatives as needed.

Requirements

3+ years of relevant experience in payroll accounting with exposure to payroll operations and general ledger accounting.
Ability to work independently in a new environment with minimal ramp-up time.
Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms.
Solid understanding of payroll compliance, including U.S. federal and state requirements.
Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus.
Meticulous attention to accuracy and ownership of details.
Clear communication skills and ability to respond to cross-functional requests quickly and professionally.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
CPA or CPP designation is a plus.
Must be located in the eastern or central time zones.
