Description

Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite.
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine, researching and resolving variances within 30 days.
Reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions accurately.
Prepare monthly payroll accruals and actual payroll expense load files for the GL accounting team.
Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities, ensuring timely delivery and statutory compliance.
Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to internal payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
Support year-end reconciliations, compliance reviews, and internal audit initiatives as needed.
Deliver key reporting deliverables and respond to cross-functional requests professionally and promptly.

Requirements

3+ years of relevant payroll accounting experience with exposure to payroll operations and general ledger accounting.
Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or BlackLine, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms.
Solid understanding of payroll compliance, including US federal and state requirements.
Canadian payroll experience (processing for multiple legal entities and statutory compliance) is a strong plus.
Ability to ramp up quickly and contribute from day one with minimal supervision.
Meticulous attention to detail and ownership of accuracy.
Clear written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; CPA or CPP designation is a plus.
Availability to work remotely within Eastern or Central time zones for team alignment; this is a temporary/contract role.
