Description

Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite.
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline and research and resolve variances within 30 days.
Reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions accurately.
Prepare monthly payroll accrual and actual payroll expense load files for the general ledger accounting team.
Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to internal payroll records and resolve discrepancies.
Support year-end reconciliations, compliance reviews, and internal audit initiatives as needed.

Requirements

3+ years of relevant experience in payroll accounting with exposure to payroll operations and general ledger accounting.
Ability to ramp up quickly in a new environment with minimal onboarding time.
Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or Blackline, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms.
Solid understanding of payroll compliance, including US federal and state requirements.
Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus.
Meticulous attention to accuracy and detail.
Clear communication skills for fast, professional cross-functional responses.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
CPA or CPP designation is a plus.
Located in the eastern or central time zones to align with team working hours.
