Description

  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries and record them in NetSuite
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine and research/resolve variances within 30 days
  • Accurately reconcile and record payroll-related cash transactions
  • Prepare monthly payroll accruals and actual payroll expense load files for the GL accounting team
  • Process biweekly Canadian payroll for two legal entities, ensuring timely delivery and statutory compliance
  • Reconcile monthly benefits billing statements to internal payroll records and resolve discrepancies
  • Support year-end reconciliations, compliance reviews, and other internal audit initiatives as needed

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll accounting with exposure to payroll operations and general ledger accounting
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and/or BlackLine, or similar ERP and reconciliation platforms
  • Solid understanding of payroll compliance, including US federal and state requirements; Canadian payroll experience is a strong plus
  • Comfortable ramping up quickly and contributing with minimal onboarding time
  • Meticulous attention to accuracy and ownership of detailed work
  • Clear communicator able to respond to cross-functional requests quickly and professionally
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; CPA or CPP designation is a plus
  • Available to work remotely while located in Eastern or Central time zones to align with team hours
