Description

  • Define, implement, and maintain quality standards for English to Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) localization streams.
  • Audit deliverables and manage the linguistic feedback loop to improve output quality.
  • Author, update, and manage localized style guides, IT glossaries, and translation memories.
  • Lead, mentor, and coordinate a remote team of freelance translators, editors, and LQA testers.
  • Provide linguistic feedback, onboarding training, and query resolution for local resources.
  • Partner with global project managers, engineering teams, and client stakeholders to optimize workflows and resolve issues.
  • Mitigate risks and troubleshoot complex technical or linguistic challenges across localization pipelines.
  • Monitor and report on resource performance, linguistic quality metrics, and delivery timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT/software localization.
  • At least 2+ years of experience as a Language Lead, Reviewer, or LQA Specialist.
  • Native fluency in Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) with professional command of source English.
  • Deep sensitivity to Taiwanese tech terminology and regional language variants.
  • Must currently live and work in Taiwan with an established, reliable remote setup.
  • Proficiency with advanced translation management systems and CAT tools such as Trados Studio, Phrase, and memoQ.
  • Experience with automated QA tools such as Xbench.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage concurrent pipelines and tight release schedules.
