Description

  • Build and maintain API integrations with multiple payment service providers.
  • Implement payment routing logic for payment orchestration.
  • Develop webhook handlers for payment events and updates.
  • Implement tokenization flows for secure payment handling.
  • Support subscription billing logic and related workflows.
  • Ensure resilience, observability, and clean error handling across payment services.
  • Work directly under the CTO on modernization of the payment infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of backend engineering experience.
  • Strong experience in one or more of the following: Node.js, Java, Python, or Go.
  • Extensive experience integrating with REST APIs.
  • Experience processing webhooks.
  • Payments domain experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of auth/capture flows.
  • Strong understanding of refund logic.
  • Strong understanding of chargeback lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of subscription billing.
  • Experience with orchestration platforms such as Gr4vy or Stripe is highly desirable but not required.
