Description

  • Build subscription lifecycle, renewal, credit, and plan-change logic.
  • Ensure payment-event correctness and reliable webhook processing that supports fulfillment.
  • Integrate payment processors and orchestration APIs, including authorization, capture, refunds, retries, and edge cases.
  • Write automated tests alongside production code for complex billing and transaction scenarios.
  • Work primarily with TypeScript services while contributing to Go-based platform services as needed.
  • Collaborate with product and leadership in a small senior team.
  • Make occasional updates to React and React Native surfaces supported by backend APIs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of production backend experience with TypeScript/Node, including services, APIs, and asynchronous workflows.
  • Payments or billing experience strongly preferred, including subscriptions, webhooks, PSP integrations, ledgers, lending, or e-commerce checkout.
  • Fluency with PostgreSQL, including schema design and defensible queries.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to Go services.
  • Strong automated-testing mindset.
  • Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools as part of the development workflow.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Availability during US business hours.
  • Experience with GCP, Google Cloud Functions, Temporal, Datadog, React, or React Native is beneficial.
