Description

  • Design and implement machine learning and deep learning models to extract text and chemical structures from scanned PDF documents.
  • Build and optimize LLM-based applications for semantic search, advanced interpretation, and retrieval-augmented generation.
  • Own the full machine learning lifecycle, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, deployment, and post-deployment monitoring.
  • Translate molecular structures, diagrams, and chemical data into machine-readable formats and actionable insights.
  • Deploy scalable, secure, production-ready AI and ML pipelines within AWS.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and domain experts to integrate models into the product architecture and align solutions with business goals.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist with a track record of delivering production-grade machine learning models.
  • Strong background in Chemistry, Cheminformatics, or a closely related scientific field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python.
  • Hands-on experience with the AWS cloud stack, including SageMaker, Lambda, S3, and EC2.
  • Practical experience with LLMs, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, or API integration.
  • Experience with vector databases such as Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate, or Qdrant.
  • Strong experience with ML/DL frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-Learn.
  • Prior experience with Computer Vision, OCR, or Document AI systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work in a collaborative, cross-disciplinary environment.
  • Immediate availability to join on a B2B contract for an approximately 2-month project in a remote Europe/CET time zone setting.
