Description

  • Manage multiple implementation projects end to end within agreed timescales.
  • Own implementation projects from design and commercial governance approval through service transition into operations.
  • Work with client relationship managers to provide regular status updates and early warning of delivery risks.
  • Arrange internal and external resources needed to deliver projects on schedule.
  • Source quotes and ensure statements of work are aligned to design and customer requirements.
  • Ensure hardware and materials are procured and delivered to site in line with the project plan.
  • Deliver projects safely in accordance with health and safety legislation, policies, contractual specifications, and obligations.
  • Identify, log, review, and mitigate risks affecting time, budget, or quality.
  • Ensure all aspects of the solution and services meet contractual specifications.
  • Run lessons learned reviews and contribute to standardisation of best practice, process, and procedure.

Requirements

  • Extensive project management experience within IT, telecoms, or a relevant sector.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in project management.
  • Experience working with senior management and external customers.
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry, especially internet service providers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to pass a DBS security check, with higher-level clearance required for some projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with the ability to deliver to strict timescales.
  • Experience delivering projects in military/defence, public sector, specialist accommodation, or leisure environments is preferred.
  • Understanding of data network technology such as SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, Internet, and Cisco is preferred.
  • Understanding of managed services and managed network services, including LAN/WAN and cloud, is preferred.
  • Project management qualification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or SCRUM is preferred.
  • Network qualifications such as CCNA or JNCIA are preferred.
  • IOSH Managing Safely is preferred.
