Description

  • Translate and copy edit content for investigator-facing, patient-facing, and pharmacy materials.
  • Translate and localize marketing, help, and UI content for multiple accounts and programs.
  • Work remotely as part of a freelance language expert team supporting global clients.
  • Apply cultural nuance and target-language expertise to ensure accurate Swahili output.
  • Use CAT tools and related platforms to complete translation and localization work.
  • Collaborate with Welocalize on ongoing multilingual content projects across different programs.
  • Support quality assurance and review workflows for translation deliverables.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in translating or copy editing content in the specified subject matter areas or verticals.
  • Professional-level understanding of English (US/GB).
  • Native-level expertise in Swahili as the target language with a core understanding of cultural nuances.
  • Experience using CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Translation degree, or 3 years of translation experience if holding another degree, or 5 years of translation experience if no degree.
  • Experience with marketing, life sciences, help content, and UI content is required.
  • Ability to work as a freelance remote linguist on multiple accounts and programs.
