Description

  • Translate and copy edit content in investigator-facing, patient-facing, pharmacy, marketing, help, and UI materials.
  • Collaborate with the team as a freelance language expert across multiple accounts and programs.
  • Adapt content for Sepedi audiences while preserving cultural nuances and meaning.
  • Use CAT tools and localization platforms to complete translation work and manage workflow.
  • Work with AI-assisted hiring and review processes as part of the freelance recruitment pipeline.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience translating or copy editing content in the specified subject areas or verticals.
  • Professional-level understanding of English (US/GB).
  • Native-level expertise in Sepedi as the target language with a strong understanding of cultural nuances.
  • Experience using CAT tools such as XTM, Phrase, Trados, Jira, and Smartling.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications, including MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Translation degree preferred, or 3 years of translation experience if holding another degree, or 5 years of translation experience if no degree is held.
  • Ability to work remotely as a freelance language expert.
  • Experience in marketing and/or life sciences localization preferred.
